Sir Calvert Jones is the founder and principal artist of Tropical Realism™. The movement begins with contemporary Caribbean fine art—work shaped by the region’s people, memory, landscapes, histories and present-day realities.
From that artistic foundation, Tropical Realism is developing ways for Caribbean cultural expression to travel through collecting, hospitality, experiences, digital engagement, cultural products and institutional dialogue while keeping authorship and the artwork at the centre.
